- Partnership with SASA -CASE is working towards being recognised as an official student society at the University of Aberdeen. In the meanwhile, we are partnered with SASA (Students Against Sexual Assault). On the 24th October 2017 SASA won a full majority at University Council to become a Priority Campaign of AUSA. Keep your eyes peeled for upcoming events and all the hard work which is yet to come on behalf of this campaign!

Students against sexual assaults.
Who? Students Against Sexual Assault (SASA) is a campaign that strives to change the current conversation around sexual
assault within the University of Aberdeen campus and the surrounding area. The campaign was voted AUSA’s priority
campaign for 2017-18 and we want to ensure that the movement is student-led and intersectional.
What? SASA was formed primarily to provide support for survivors, from fellow survivors, consequently forming a
community. We want to get our campus talking about consent. Further, we aim to develop and improve the
University’s policy on sexual assault, as well as challenge the ‘lad culture’ perpetuating the existence of sexual
assault on campus.
We will run frequent surveys to assess the prevalence of sexual assaults on Aberdeen’s campus, and track our
progress.
How? To realise these goals, SASA hopes to educate the student community about what consent is by providing;
1. By-stander intervention training
2. Consent workshops
3. Creating safe spaces to support survivors
